An online Children's Church is only offered during the 11:00 am service for children in JK - Grade 3.
SCREENING
An online screening form must be completed with the child's temperature reading Sunday morning before arrival. Please be advised that without completion of this form your child will be denied entry to the program. Furthermore, if you answer yes to any of the questions or your child has a fever, please refrain from bringing them to Children's Church.
MASKS & CLEANING
Rooms, touchable surfaces, and toys will be disinfected prior to the program. All volunteer leaders will wear face masks and frequent hand washing will be encouraged where applicable. All children 5+ will be required to wear a face covering.
PROGRAM
Children will be dropped off in their classroom at the beginning of the worship service. Though our priority has been to have families worship together in the service, because of COVID guidelines and sanitization requirements, children will remain in Children’s Church for the full service at this time.
Our Children’s Church content hasn’t changed, but the structure will look a little different to accommodate COVID-19 guidelines and volunteer capacity. Children will gather for a time of singing and Bible teaching where they will sit in chairs spaced 6 feet apart. The children will then split into small groups for discussion, activity pages and craft time. Activities will be chosen with physical distancing in mind. Children will be given individual bins to hold all the resources necessary for the lesson (e.g., pencils, craft supplies, activity pages etc.) to limit exposure due to sharing supplies.
Please note that this plan may be amended based on parent feedback, the changing nature of responding to COVID-19 etc. Prior to making any changes to the program, parents with registered children with be informed.
Questions? Feel free to contact our Children’s Ministry Director, Jenna at jibrahim@mabc.ca. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we navigate this unique ministry year.
We look forward to seeing you Sunday!
